For the third time, an atmospheric pole vault meeting took place in the historic old town of Wasserburg. In particular, the highly talented young jumpers of the organising TSV 1880 Wasserburg were the focus of the event.

Once again, the Karlsruhe Indoor Meeting is part of the Indoor Tour Gold of the World Athletics Federation. The highlight was once again the pole vault with a sensational 6.02 m by world record holder Mondo Duplantis (SWE). With this he pulverised the meeting record set only the year before by his world record predecessor Renaud Lavillenie (FRA).

Due to corona restrictions, the Indoor Meeting Karlsruhe in 2021 took place in the Europahalle Karlsruhe and not in the Messehalle. This did not detract from the athletes’ performances. The highlight of the event was the meeting record in the pole vault by Frenchman Renaud Lavillenie with 5.95 m!
